Writing Prompt: A Sailing Journey

There is a vast amount of literature about the sea.  From Jack London's Sea Wolf to C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower and beyond, there is a lot to read.  You can write about tyrannical captains, mutinies, wars, pirates, storms, discoveries, and dangerous journeys.  All you need is a ship, a crew,  challenges, and destination.  For today's writing prompt, spin us a short tale of -

adventure under sail.
