Legendary creatures and folklore are a little more fun than conspiracy theories. When told with a twinkle in the eye, they bring liveliness to a sometimes boring landscape. They make us look into the woods with a heightened sense of wonder and mystery. Sure, all the respectable scientists, wildlife managers, and other authorities tell us that the creatures of folklore don't exist. But, we still wonder.
